Need some opinions
I have a 05 black coupe with the factory rays forged 19's I am thinking of powercoating the rim a black or chrome black and polishing the lip rather then getting new wheels. this option is much cheaper. it will only cost me like 150-300 to powdercoat and polish. i have seen black g's with black rims and i like the combo but just need some opinions on how you think the stock wheels would look black.

I owned a powder coating & metal polishing business not so long ago. What really looks hot is: Polish the whole rim lips & all. Then pick the powder coating you want, but pick a translucent paint color. Leave the lip with polish only showing & have them shoot the rest of the rim with paint. You will see the polished rim... but the paint will also show. Gives the rim a lot of depth & is really sick looking. (The paint has the color there showing but you can see right through it to the chrome like looking metal below).
So again, you will see the color on the rim but be able to see through it to the polish ... very very very hot. I used to do this on bikes all the time.
