Yeh very pro GTO, and they didn't push the other rides too hard.
Oh well, it was nice to see the rides just the same. The coupe and sedan did well in a few categories. The pontiac seriously outclassed all the others in the hp department.
In some of the performance categories and the looks department, the Infiniti's were killer. (even with questionable driving).

That was the longest infomercial I’ve ever sat through and not at all worth watching again. At least Road&Track does a real side by side. Whenever that show is on and I stumble across it they never have a bad thing to say about the “primary” car. If that G35 was a 05 it was an auto, based on the rims. Hey we beat the 330ci’s every time though )

those are TERRIBLE numbers... even the mustang numbers are bad... to scale they look about right though. you can take a full second off all of the 0-60 times and they would be about right... None of these cars are going to get to the qtr mile times after running a 0-60 of the numbers that are posted... over 7 seconds to 60 and then magically you get to the qtr mile in 14.96? are you kidding? better have one hell of a trap speed.

 

Hahaha, I bet they left on VDC and Traction control systems on all non GTO testing... especially because they wanted all testing according to owners manual specs...

It does seem reasonable that an '05 G auto with VDC on would get the numbers they posted.

 

Since all 6MTs come with upgraded wheels and sport packages, the G35 coupe had an automatic transmission without a doubt. I'm not sure, but I think the GTO they tested was a 6speed. Not fair comparo in my opinion.

 

I want my 0:30 back. That was not only poor testing, but the Ads in all the car mags said 2005 6MT coupe. The coupe in that test had 17" tires. Must be an AT with no LSD.

...And the girl wasn't even all that good looking.

that's crap! I wouldn't believe what Speed TV said about our G. I believe that Pontiac paid SPEED TV big money to promote ugly GTO and trying to bring G down

The red GTO was a stick and the blue one was an auto. You can tell when the lady was driving she never shifted and the guy in the red GTO shifted. The G was a auto and one thing I noticed was that on the launch with the G they were spinning on there launch. I don't mean that he floored it and got wheelspin, I mean they powerbraked it until the wheels started spinning and let it go!!! That can't be right, can it?

 

I taped it, but on DVR (digital video recorder) and I have no way to get it on the comp. Believe me anyways, it wasn't worth it. They show the G only a couple of times, putting down the drag strip and doing a slalom, pretty weak.
