Got lotsa ?

Greets,

I currently own a 2k max and researching a trade to a 2k2, 2k3 or 2k4, 6 MT coupe. I know there is a search but I could search indefinitely and still miss the information I'm looking for. So here goes:

- From reading I've seen quite a few threads where 2k3 and 2k4 (here and on fresh alloy), 6MT had tranny issues at 16k, 23K and 28k. Is this a common thing for the g35c or trend you guys are noticing?

- What are some ongoing gripes with infiniti. Example, for the max, tires suck in wet weather, HP numbers were overated, brakes warp, and the VIAS breaks, ignition coil problems, bose system rattle, auto trannies failing early, MAF failure, etc ..

- The 2k2 - 2k3 max share the same VQ35DE, does the g35c also suffer from the MAF problems like the max?

- Of the years I stated above what should I expect to pay and what frills should I be looking for in the car. (ex sport tuned package, minor change in the front grille, smoked tailights or controls on the steering from 2k3 - 2k4 model)

- Kindly highlight the differences between 2k2, 2k3, 2k4 and which is better and why

- Is there a list of TSB's here somewhere and how much difficulty does the dealer give to fix them. Much trickery and attitude was required to get nissan to honor TSB's for the max.

thanks

Dont think there was a G35 made in 2002. I would get the newest one you can, lots of problems (most minor) with the first two model years that appear (at least with my ride) to be worked out on the 2005 year. Like brakes, clutch and some other small things.

They were made in early '02 but sold as '03's.
You're right tho, there is no model id'd as an '02.

Woosh, get the coupe. You'll be glad you did.
