help removing driver door panel

as some of you guys may know (and be dealing with yourselves) my driver side window has trouble working in the heat and humidity. basically it gets stuck in the up or down position for some time. eventually it works, and sometimes banging above the inside door handle while pushing the window button simultaneously it works...
and since i'm not under warranty i'm going to try and see if i can find the problem myself. maybe the wiring is a bit loose, or something needs tightening....i dont know. anyone have suggestions?

well to the point: i'm going to try and attack this tomorrow hopefully--any ideas of how i can get to the window motor without destroying anything? i took a very quick look today and only saw a few of those removable pins on the inside of the door jam near the hinges where the door shuts, didnt think that would do too much.

thanks in advance

There used to be a real nice DIY on taking the door panel off, but the pics got lost in the transfer to the new forum. If you have an 03-04, remove the plastic door grip. Insert a flat head screw driver into the groove on the bottom of it. Pop it off. Be careful or you could mar both the grip and the door. But it would be hidden from sight if you were to mess it up. Two screw/bolts there. Then pop the little square thingie off by the door handle. That should do it. Just grab the bottom edge and yank it out and then up. Free the attatched wires/cabling. That should give you access. I think the pins you were referring to by the hinges are only for accessing the tweeter. Been a while since I last did and don't remember. Couldn't hurt to remove them just in case.
