Just purchased NISMO Cold Air Intake

Hey fellas,
I just got the NISMO Cold Air Intake. I've heard different things about AEM being the same (which I think is the same) but I'm one of those "brand name" selllouts i guess haha! Anyways, my question is, when it arrives and I should be due for my free oil change at the dealership, will they install the thing for me? I guess I should just call them. But any experience with it? Also, all of those who have the NISMO intake, how do you like it?

they will install it im sure but they will rip u off on the install fee.. ive gotten the quote of 90 bucks from 2 well known places so use that as ur comparison.. anything more is a rip.. but honestly, install it urself and save 90 bucks. I have it and i love it.. looks sexy too!

i had a post earlier about installation. I am pretty dumb when it comes to auto installation. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being incredibly tough) for a dumbass, how would you rate the difficulty on installing it. I stared under the hood and NOTHING looks like the Accord that I installed myself with RS Akimoto. I hear that the directions are very straightforward. thnx!

Install is very easy. Not much you can screw up. You simply unbolt and bolt back up. In most cases, if you just lay the kit out on the floor, and look at all the parts, you won't even need instructions. Tool wise, you don't need anything special. 10mm socket and or wrench, and a screwdriver, if I recall correctly. Basically if you can put together IKEA furniture you're a PRO-MECHANIC and the intake is a cake walk....

It will be a little more difficult if you plan on installing a bypass valve.

Forget about the Bypass valve, from what i've heard is that, if you install that, it's the same as having a stock intake, defeats the whole purpose of having a CAI (restricting air). Just grab a beer, and install it yourself.

I installed my Injen RD CAI last Friday and it was really easy. Seriously, you can't really go wrong with this install. Happy install!

i cannot believe people would actually pay someone to install a CAI.....seriously its really easy on a scale of 1-10 i give it a 2 you can do it with ease.. i could give instructions to my 14 year old brother and he could figure it out.. **** my mom could figure it out.. its really simple.. i can see how it would seem hard if you have never done it but it is extremely easy.. save the 100 bucks and put those things on the end of your arms to use and get them dirty for about 20 minutes of your life
