the noobie hp question :)

hey fellas
can someone explain to me the differences in hp's that people post on specs and stuff (rwhp, etc)

rwhp stands for "rear wheel horsepower" - its the power that actually gets applied to the ground through your rear wheels as determined by dyno. The hp ratings posted by manufacturere is the power at the flywheel in the engine. Before that power gets to the ground, some of it is robbed by friction, heat, etc.

^ correct. Rear Wheel Horsepower (rwhp) is what is actually put to the ground from the engine. Hp is rated from the engine to the flywheel. there is usually a 15% difference
