Guys,
I lost one of my master keys along with the remove recently.
I just went to the dealership to findout about getting another one and
they told me that the the key is 80 dollars, the programming is another 80 and the keyless entry remote is 140 dollars..
You have got to be kidding me..
Do you guys know where I could get a key and remove for less?

 

The remote is like $15 on ebay. At that rate, you should just buy an alarm for your car and use those remotes.

 

buy the key at the dealer....$80
buy fob on ebay ....$15
program it yourself ....$0

Total = $95

 

I bought a replacement remote on ebay for $18 shipped to my house and you can look up how to program the remote at infinitihelp.com It seriuosly took 2 min to program the remote. Now as far as they key, I'm not sure if there is a non-infiniti key company that makes keys for us. I have seen at hardware stores a key cutting machine that you insert your key and it recognizes the code from the chip and programs the "spare" key chip with the same code. I think they run about $40.

 

You guys say program...so can anyone buy a fob and walk up to any G??? Or is it done with the car on so that chip signals are transmitted?
