hey i was wondering if anyone got the sat radio option on their coupes from their dealers

 

Thought about it, but the quick turn off is that the dealer will most likely install the sat antenna on the roof. If you check, there are many posts about sat radio - most say it's easy to install yourself - I did just that last night... took me about 2 hours, but mostly because I had the wrong installation guide and was being overly cautious.

With the right kit & install guide most folks could probably install a sat radio in ~ an hour placing the antenna on the rear deck - so far no reception problems (but admittedly 1 day isn't much experience). Bought the hardware from Grubbs Infiniti - they were kind enough to include an adapter for the antenna (that I would have missed otherwise) and the installation guide on their web site was 100% accurate.

Won't debate XM vs. Sirius - on paper XM looked better to me, but when I tried their free "on line demos" I personally liked the what I heard on Sirius better (even though they list comparable venues). Get what you like - it's really more a matter of personal taste - I feel most of the technical comparisons won't really amount to signifcant differences to the average listener (though some are sure to say otherwise).

 

yup got mine and yes they put the antenna on the roof. Wish I did it myself, but maybe I'll undo that ugliness myself soon.

BTW: mine was a 'freebie' thrown in to sweeten the deal.
