From magazine times, I have seen the 645 run a 13.9. So depending on a bunch of conditions like passengers, light modifications, etc., this race is a driver's race.

My brother has the 6 and I can tell you now that he didn't try. The car will rape the G stock vs. stock

i think its possible.
the 6 is the faster car but he had another person inside and may have had stuff in the trunk or whatever. also, the G had just one person and had full exhaust incl test pipes...although it did have big heavy wheels.

1/2 a car length at over 1/2 a mile isnt much at all...if the 6 were the 200 lbs lighter it should have been, it wouldnt have a problem walking away.

btw, dont try this when the new 650ci comes out.

Maybe you should stop losing to family Stock for stock, it's a driver's race. I'm not too sure about one raping the other. Sure the 645 has 325 horsepower, but is it geared for performance or fuel economy? My experience with non-M BMW's is that they're geared aggressively in the first through third gears, but prettty conservative fourth and up. Also keep in mind the G has a 300 lb advantage, which should not be ignored despite the 645's 45 hp and 60 ft/lb advantage. Another way to look at it is like this: The E36 M3 has a 300 lb advantage over the G and can pull 0 to 60 is 5.5 seconds and 1/4 mile in 14.0 seconds with 240 hp and 236 lb/ft. The G at 3450 lbs has to make 40 additional hp and 34 lb/ft just to get close to those times. Then you have gearing, which is in the M3's favor. Alas, a kill is a kill, so nice kill.

Not everyone lives in the US and can speak proper English guys, so keep that in mind. But he lives in SoCal so maybe English isn't his first language so stop mockin him...(unless you can find a post where he speaks properly).

For some reason i don't think the 6 should lose. But even if it did. The 6 is more pimp i'd take a loss anyday to own it. My boy was rockin a 645ci last weekend and was i ever in awwww. Anyhow no need to argue. This is like an srt4 coming on a board and sayin i beat a g35 and saved 10 grand....

It’s believable that you beat him but I still would take a 6 series over my coupe any day if I could afford it

Ain't that the truth. I very much admire every foreigner who moved to this country and made it on their own despite all cultural and language barriers. If he's making a living and can afford a G and all these beautiful mods for it - I give him props for that because even some of you Americans on this board aren't quite there yet, be it grammar or mod-wise....

It sounds like a close race although the 645ci should of had the upper hand. Since both cars might have been autos, I don't see why everyone said it might have been a driver's race? Wouldn't you just turn off traction control and stomp on the gas? Maybe the 6 didn't turn off his and lost.

I dont understand why this would be so unbeliveable to those who are doubting it..

The BMW 6 only runs a 0-60 in 5.5.. The 03/04 G35s run it in about that same time, and a slightly modded G35 can only improve on that. I think the race would be real close, if not just about dead even. The weight of the two guys in the other car could also come into play on why he lost, but otherwise would be a real close/even race.

But personally, if I had $70,000 I would NEVER spend it on a 645i, you've got to be kidding me. Yeah the car is pretty nice looking and all, but I'd take an M3 over it IN A HEARTBEAT, and keep the leftover $20,000, and hell, even save up for a used EVO for a few more thousand.. I personally just cant imagine spending $70,000 on a car that only does 0-60 at 5.5, but thats just me.. and if you dont care about speed, then go for all out luxury at that price range.

BTW, I LOVE your G!!
