I've heard you guys talking about Caribbean Blue, Athens Blue, Midnight Blue, and Twilight Blue. Which is which. Is there any way you guy's can post pics of each? I've tried searching on Google but I've had no luck. I have an '05 G in some kind of blue but I'm not exactly sure which. The salesman told me that Infiniti was discontinuing the color (probably BS) and that I would rarely see and like mine. To date (3 weeks after the purchase) I have seen plenty of blue g's (mostly a lighter blue) and am wondering which is which, and if this rumor is true.

 

Not knowing much about the G and only my .02, I would say that each color of blue was a color for every different car year.

Such as .....

'05 - Athens Blue
'04 - Midnight Blue
ect.
ect.

You most likely got the Athens Blue.

The 4 Blue's are (in order they were released minus)

1. Carribean Blue (CB) - Available in 03' only, now discountinued
2. Daytona Blue (DB) - Available all years (350z COLOR ONLY)
3. Twilight Blue (TB) - Midnight color (released in 04')
4. Athens Blue (AB) - Released in 05' (You probably have this one)

1. Caribbean Blue - the brightest one (discontinued after 03)
2. Midnight/Twilight blue - both same color with 2 names (04' and on) it's a Navy blue shade
3. Athens Blue - 05 and on - it's pure blue (my favorite)

I have an 04 CB coupe it was discountinued after 04 not 03.

 

FYI, the '06 model was released on the Asian market and Athens Blue is one of the available colors, so don't worry it's not getting discontinued...

Another color you might consider blue is Lakeshore Slate

 

Carribean Blue is sooo damn ugly. the new blues are tight..and the lakeshore..NICE!
is that like a mix of silver with a lil bluish in there?

 

Am I going colour blind or does that car not look blue at all??

 

i got lakeshoreslate blue...thats one of the new '05 colors.....

 

Actually Lakeshore Slate has the same hue as Caribbean Blue, just less saturation and more value. (Photoshop it and you'll see what I mean)
