if i wanted a fast car i would've gotten an evo or an sti.

i would put 20'' chromes and a nice system in my G because its a luxury vehicle, and its known for its stunning looks.. not meant to be raced

unless of course you totally convert it into a racing car, then thats different

like Tinman or G352v's car

Nice to see another doctor on the boards. I'm starting my 2nd year of anesthesiology residency and am glad to finally be getting into the OR's. What do you practice?

Not actually a doc yet. I'm a 2nd yr. med student. I'd like to go into physiatry or internal med. My sister will likely go into anesthesiology nursing though. They sure are WELL paid.

allforthecash, at least your wheels look good in addition to being lightweight.

I also dislike mods that decrease function or performance....but some cars are bound to be trailer queens, showbuckets, etc. To each its own.

I learned my lesson, my current car (for sale) is a stupid fast wrx...Thing is in the low 12's and is faster then really it has any business being....BUT the fuel economy anything outside of highway sucks! Hello 12mpg on boost.....I have big *** injectors and a huge pump and feed a ton more air into the motor with a bigger turbo.

Car is a riot to drive with all the stuff I've done to it, I find myself wondering just how much faster I can go through corners...With my sti tranny and working active center diff the car is literally on rails, but I'm still young (24) and I'm tired of the hard looks I get from cops and want to be looked on in the company I work for as more then some hotshot kid with a obnoxious car...

sorry for the rant and veering OT and all but when I get my G I will just focus on the things that will make my car more fun to drive, and finish paying for it...

moral of the story aftermarket stuff is fun till you realize your car has no shot in hell of passing its next inspection legally ;-)

allforthecash-your wheels don't count they are some beautiful volks...

What is this "car inspection" of which you speak?

Well, my car throws all kinds of CELLS...I have one for the massive injectors, one of the two missing cats, and these tumble valves that I removed to increase flow into the motor....Makes the car run better, but it would fail for any of those at a inspection facility. It should pass emissions though..

I was saying more of my issues with my car not passing because of the many cel's it throws..

Hrm last time I checked this car isn't slow; it runs fast enough to blow away any normal car, and gains the respect of anyone with something faster. The thing I like about this car is the broad appeal. I can pull this car into a riced out car meet and get respect or I can pull into a party full of baby boomers and retirees and watch it get admired. The look this car brings to the faces of girls on a first date is classic; although thats not why I bought it...

Not sad at all...maybe you can prescribe yourself some anti-depressants for that problem.

blow away any normal car - i think not. There are many cars that are just as fast as this car, and many that are alot faster. When you have an Accord or altima that will be just as fast as this, you dont have a fast car. I have a new 05 g35x, so dont call me a troll. Just take the car for what it is, a nice RWD or AWD lux car that is maybe slightly above average in quickness.
By the way, you are not blowing anyone away unless you are at least more than a second quicker in the 1/4. I myself dont think a car blows another away unless it is trapping more than 10 mph more in the quarter, that shows how much more power it has.

Pointless argument. This car is a mix of performance, and luxury so of course you will have both sides!

Owner A: "Why do you waste all your $$ buying performance parts?? If you wanted to make it faster then you should have bought a 350z! This is supposed to be a good looking car!"

Owner B: "Why do you waste all your $$ on wheels and stereo's? You should have bought an SUV or something, this is supposed to be a fast car!"

This is no supercar, but write a list of cars that are faster then a list of cars that are slower and you will, by far, see more cars that are slower. For every Altma or Accord that is almost as quick, there are twice as many Altimas and Accords that are not even close. (V6 vs 4cyl)

Huh.
