Cool Garage?
Any of you guys have custom flooring, cabinets, lifts etc? I would love to see some pics of what you guys may have since i think i am in the market to customize my garage. Post up your pics!
I am in the process of collecting bids to customize my garage, but I'm not going crazy - just some cabinets, work surface, bins, etc. I'm looking at:

I have eventual plans for a nice garage, but not at this house. We'll probably sell in the next year or two.
But for those building or laying a new slab, keep this mind:
We've all seen the cheaper, scissor-style lifts that you slide under your car, usually advertised in the back of car mags, etc. These work well, but storage is PITA. I got to see a guy who drives a 911 (and changes his own oil and works on it periodically) who really relies on one of these lifts.
When he was having his new house built, he had a recessed area built into the garage slab, right below his 911, where he could store the (closed) lift. When he wants, he moves the lift arms into place and simply raises it where it sits. It just can't get any easier than that.
If we buy instead of building our next house, I'm doing some demo on the garage slab to incorporate this idea before I coat/cover the floor! That Race Deck flooring is really nice.

G35fromPA, my suggestion to you would be do the work yourself. Dude, I'm near you and would help you install something custom in your garage.
As for myself, I custom made a work bench, put up Peg board along two walls. I have ordered a GarageTek floor kit and should be here in a few weeks. I will install it after the lift is in. I would post pics, but my Camera is at my audio shop right now, but just PM me if you need to see my Garage and I will snap some photos in a few days. My garage is about 1200 SF and I am fortunate to have the space for everything. I actually got my central vac system in today and will be installing it this weekend. Good luck with you choices

When the new house is done I plan to have the garage floor done in this stuff. http://www.vortexsprayliners.com/Page_1x.html Contact them for a dealer in your area. The custom job I want done is going to cost around 5 grand, but thats also for a 30x40 floor thats a multi color design, and im having an indoor wash bay sprayed floor to ceiling. I live in NE Ohio and the weather sucks, so I want to be able to clean my stuff all the time. The average 2 car garage price around here for 1 color is 750.00. I like that lift in the floor idea, any chance of getting some pics of that setup?
That carpet garage is insane, I saw some cool rubber flooring that is made from old recycled tired that is normally used in childrens playgrounds. Cool thing is, it has a lifetime of atleast 20 years, Bad thing is the cost so far I have seen ranges from $26-37 per 2'x2' tile. Cool stuff though takes a beating and always looks great.
man, that's a nice clean garage...
I'd like to get into cleaning up my garage a little to make it more presentable,
but right now it just has my 2 hobby cars, unfinished garage walls
and ceilings. Im gonna be sanding down the walls and painting it this
summer. I also need to get more tool cases.. guess one step at a time.
My long term goal is after Im done with my Cooper-S and G35C, Im going to
buy one nice hobby car (newM3? newVette?) and make my 2.5 car garage into
a 1 car garage + play area where I would put a nice sofa and widescreen, dvd,
computer, portable A/C unit, (ones that are used on IT server rooms) so I can
use it as my personal room.
I just like to be close to my cars.
