Beautiful!!! Looking very sharp. Congrats and enjoy your G. Yes, get a clear bra product before you ding up that sharp looking G. You will be able to wax it just fine, as you would the rest of the car.
I havent decided yet on the clear corners or not. How much is the clearbra and where can I get it from? The dealer? Also, is it something that I can take on and off easily??
Would you guys quit hounding him to get clear corners? I think the orange contrasts nicely with the black, and the side moldings have a purpose. Not everyone wants to have the exact same car as you. Not that theres anything wrong with cc's, but theyre not for everyone. The guy just bought the car, give him a break!
Thanks alot phishman! I also thought I was getting hounded about the clear corners!! And as for the side molding I did pay extra for it and got it for a reason, hoping it will give some protection to my doors etc.
Like I've said before, I'll be giving my BMW 330 vs G35 comparison write up in a few weeks - after I've had some time to drive the G for a while.
Some asked for my first impression/thoughts...I cant really comment on the engine or handling yet cause I'm still breaking in/babying the car. I have 140+ miles on the car now in the first 2 days - why do I have about 1/4 inch of dust on my back bumper!! Holy sh*t!!
My seatbelt is scraping my neck, it's too high or something.
No memory seats, at least even for the driver?? Also, what's up with pressing a button to make the seats go forward, so I can let someone into the back seat? Just give me a lever and let me slide the seat forward myself.
I thought the stereo/speakers in my BMW sucked...in my G it sounds like all the speakers are under the seat or something - it sucks, but I dont expect much from any OEM stereo.
I dont think I'll EVER use the navigation, big waste of money I think. I know where I'm going 99.8% of the time!!
Hmm what else...stiffer ride than my BMW, less body roll.
Seats are REAL comfy for me, just like in my BMW.
What kind of alarm does the G have? My BMW had the factory alarm which had a motion detector inside - if the windows were down you couldnt even stick your hand like 1 inch into the car and alarm went off - I thought that was great.
I just reread the post and it sounded like I was favoring the BMW and not liking the G. NOT TRUE. I love the G so far, just giving some minor critiscisms.
That's it for now. More later.

I agree with the seat belts, they feel like they are misplaced or something. II have trouble grabbing the seatbelt to put it on when sitting comfortable I feel as if the seat is still like 4-5" to far forward or something?

G
Congrats.
I thought the seatbelt is like that cause it's the 2door and the door is much longer. I bet the 4 door does not have this problem. Did the 330 have this seat belt problem?
I expected to actually use my navigation 3 times a year, but actually it saved me lots of time and prevented me from getting lost at least 4 times already and I only had the car 2 months. Really glad I got it.
You don't have a lever to slide the seats yourself, cause you got power now. It's year 2005 man, I know it's slower but it's more sophisticated to be able to slide with a push of a button, and not reach down and slide the seat yourself like it was done for decades. I'd say appreciate and enjoy, less strain for you, let the machine do it for you.
