Tire and Wheel Warranty?

I have been looking around and I didn't see a thread mentioning anything about it, but my dealer offered me a tire and wheel warranty good for 5 years which covers anything that happens to the either part except for the wearing of tread on the tire. So if I curb a rim or the tire goes flat that is unrepairable, they replace it for free, good for 5 years regardless of how many times you make a claim. Anyone else get this or heard of it?

My dealer offered me that deal at signing as part of an "ease-of-mind" package which in effect added more to the monthly so i declined it. Of course after 3 curbed rims later i'm kinda thinking maybe i should've gotten it

Seems like most people either didn't hear about it or just didn't take the dealer up on it. I figured a lot of people would get it, unless you planned on switching out your stock rims.

I would suggest to GET IT! dealer cost for the tire/wheel warranty is $250 so don't allow them to shaft you much higher then that. It really is no questions asked on replacign the tires or warranty, I know of someone who got 4 rims/ 4 tires in a span of 6 months with no issues at all.

Red face It could help

It's a toss up. It DOES NOT cover "curb rash". It only covers rims that are bent so bad they will not hold air. However, I just replaced one of my tires that was ruined by "something". The bill for the new tire (Bridgestone Turanza EH 33 in 235 35 18) was $362, so I just came out even. Than damn tire is made in Japan! That's why it cost so much. The downside is, these tires will only last me 22 to 25 thousand miles.

yep, i got it, it covers any rim and tire on your car... they go by vin number, so even if you get after market rims and tires, there still covered...

Anyway, i got a 05 with the 19's, I've bent 17's before so...

for what i costs, you just pay it cash and over the span of 5 years, you better beleive you will use it...

Thats how I felt when he told me about it, plus he gave it to me for 280 bucks, and over the course of 5 years, that's only a little more than 50 bucks a year, and even if you use it just ONCE, it already paid for itself.

Respol, I bought my G35 coupe at Garcia and he also charged me $280 for the tire/wheel warranty (only extra warranty that seemed to be worth the cost).

I bought it because I had to replace 2 tires on my last car due to nails and I would rather not have to pay $200 plus for tires when it happens. It cost me like $5 or $6 extra per month so to me it is worth it. Although, I have yet to take use of it and my luck I probably won't need to which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I think I will probably use it cause there is always construction in this city it seems like, so the odds of getting a nail are pretty darn good. In fact the day I put down my deposit I was driving home in the RSX and I got a flat that couldn't be repaired.

I have it also, and have used it 2x. on tire patches which came out to $50, so far it has been worth while.

Texasscout it will cover any blemish that will annoy you enough to want to replace the rim/tire, as long as you have a buddy thats a service advisor. You didn't hear that from me though
