so im driving home the other day at 1:30 in the morning and i have the cruise control on.. so im just chillen bumpen some Beatz wen this STI flys by me
and i said to myself na, but i did it anyway i jumped on his *** and we lined up at 70.. we were neck and neck till about 1:15 then he just shot up 150 feet infront of me.. i was like wtf how did this happen?

It appeared stock but then again it was dark out..
Just sharing my story, i dont really race but its tempting sometimes..

like a skunk.. and after he was infront of me i opened my window and smelled something really bad like something burning it was a wierd smell.

def. sprayed or had a upgraded turbo. STis/WRXs suck up top.

 

I dont know why people say this? If they are stock they suck, and thats all. If they are modified ( turbo, injectors front-mount,ecu) they are not dogs on the Hwy. I know I had a highly modified WRX and I had no problem racing up to 145 and pulling on supercharged V-8's. Remember boost is your friend. The turbo I had didn't hit full boost till 3900 rpms but when it did I could hold 19-20 PSI till redline.

 

Very True, My stock G, gave a 12.8sec STi a serious run for its money at even mid/highermid speeds a few days ago.

He's a "baller with 'nos'" I'm sure, I hate nitrous

 

I'm sorry but where did this idea that WRX/STI's suck at higher speeds thats a bunch of bull maybe my car (04 STI) was the odd ball but there was no dog up top it pulled hard through every gear and kept pulling well over 120mph not sure whats wrong with all the cars people are running into.

I've come to the conclusion that there must be some really super stock G's out there and some pretty lame Evo's , STi's , Vette's, Camaro's, SRT4', etc. Or is it the people driving those cars! It's not your car its the people driving the other ones. And up to 140 my car was a monster, after that, yes I think I might have a problem with a Vette, but below that, no way. Don't take this the wrong way guys, I love my G or I wouldn't be driving it.......but I Love Automobiles, and I don't hate on anything, including Civics and SRT4's. And to hear people here say that certain cars are dogs, yada yada yada, and they probably have never owned them kinda pisses me off. I will admit I have a problem I have had 6 different cars in 7 Years , all of them modded. But this is my passion.

 

How is that, Wouldn't an Auto have quicker shifts?

 

I don't know why everyone rags on the 5AT. I blew off a 6mt the other day, and I left it in auto mode. Could it be the driver couldn't drive stick? I bet it was, but thats my point. Some people should drive what suits them best......if he had know anything about shift points and max RPM, he should/could have whooped my A$$.
