plead not guilty, hope the cop doesnt show up, if he does just change your plea to guilty, you have nothing to lose

get an attorney and pray you win or bye bye license. Next time think before you do a juvenile act and put everything in jeopardy.

94 in a 65 zone is not double the speed limit so in most states you won't loose your license.

If he already has points on his record, he might just loose his license.

Best bet is to plead not guilty...Go to court and while your there the prosector will ask you if you want to change your plea; usually as for instance in my case, the county dropped my ticket from a 96 to a 76 in a 65 mph zone if I would change my plea which I did. You get less points & a smaller fine. Driving school and some defensive driving classes can clear the points in no time... Regardless which approach you take to this ...good luck.

I'm glad Texas doesn't have that point crap...I have got 5 tickets in the same year.

Plead not guilty, and negotiate at the pre-trial.

call a traffic attorney - not sure about you guys but they work great in florida. i've used one once, no points no ticket, just some fees. my friend that referred me to this guy had six (yes 6) outstanding at one time, in one sitting the guy got the first four thrown out with fines only (no points). sometimes it might be a little more expensive than the ticket fine, but no points means no insurance increase and no lost license.

I concur, that's what I did when I got my last speeding ticket. The attorney said I had a broken speedometer and I didn't get any points; just had to pay a fee.

94 on the freeway isn't that bad. it was prob. 181 dollar fine? Just plead not guilty, and change your court date as much as possible, usually 1 or 2 times. But also be aware, cops get paid a minimum of 4 hours of time and a half to go to court. If it's on their day off, then they get double time. So if the cops looking for money, you're screwed. Try to find out his days off, or his police schedule.

Here's what I've done, and it's worked. Call the police station around the same time you got your ticket. Ask them to speak to the officer. Most likely he'll be on the streets. Ask when he'll be back. They usually run 6-8 hour shifts a couple days a week. Tell them you can't call back today or tommorrow, but how bout in 2 days. At that point they should tell you what his schedule is. Now that you have that. You can go to court and pick the court date. Try not to pick his day off, and try to pick the most awkward time around his schedule.

I once got a cop who worked from 7pm to 3 am. M,T,W,Th. So I got a 8am on Thurs. Didn't show. My friend got a ticket from him as well and picked friday at 8am, he did show. (Friday was his day off)

Hope that helps someone, and like mentioned above, the best thing to do is slow down and avoid the tickets, or get a V1 and have some protection.

Hooman
