Homelink question
Homelink question
Is there a way that someone could steal your garage code from the Homelink, when programmed? Typical scenario... You drop the car off for service, they press the homelink button with some sort of code grabber, etc?
I hear you. Around here, there has been some cases of this going on. Now I don't think it's been thefting homelink of a serviced car, but worthy of finding out nonetheless. The thieves open your garage door somehow (with some kind of device, not a crowbar or busting through the house) then gain access to all your stuff. A few bikes have been stolen, cars, sweet TV's, etc.
Well if you don't park your vehicle in the garage then they could smash a window (or just open the door thanks to our frameless windows) and then open your garage door and walk right into your house.
It's always puzzled me, but almost ALL of my neighbors park at least 1 of their 2 cars in their driveways. ALL OF THEM have a garage door opener in their cars, whether it's a homelink or just the remote.
