Racing with my G35

Also what was your technique? Did you use MM mode did you brake torque.
Congrats on the final 4 spot

Those times seem comparable to my G35C 5AT, which I've only run twice at the same track (Island Draway in NJ):
Stock: 15.1 @ 95 maybe my factory 18's are harder to get rolling
Zpipe, K&N panel, RT cats, 275's on OEM 18's all around: 14.7 @ 98

I have seen an automatic z run 14.1 at infineon and a manual at sacramento at 14.2. the automatic z though had some bolt ons like intake and exhaust while the manual did not have one. my reaction times-.085, .346, .105, .106,.093, .034. the article about that day can be found here- (under the trophy category) oh yeah and I forgot to mention a lady won the whole thing, with her el camino running 10 secs.

sucks though they only mentioned that my car was an infiniti and did not mention it was a g35.

Your last two reaction times are good. Remember in Bracket racing reaction times are just as important as the times your car can run. A 10 sec car means nothing if I cut a better light and run closer to my time.
I guarantee you that if you look at the slip where you lost the person cut a better light or is much closer to their dial in or both. Bracket racing's won by these two margins.
Try to learn to cut .020 or better lights consistently and you will find you win alot more often.

I heard that brake torquing in some conditions can worsten your 1/4 mile times and in some conditions it can improve it. I heard that if the wheels do not break traction slightly when you brake torque that this car will actually hesitate because of back pressure in the TC with no where to go. I heard that this is especially the case if you try to brake torque too high on the RPMs. I'm not sure how accurate that is but there are times when I tried to brake torque that the car did hesitate slightly on sticky roads. It got going quickly after a split second.
In such cases it may be best to try brake torquing from a slightly lower RPM than you normally would.
