your first post on G35driver

Sorry if this should be in the off topic section but I know some of us have been here for a while.. post up your first post or question.. heres mine from august 2003:

Just introducing myself. Tony Abrom from Atlanta, GA. I've been reading the boards for a very long time and I am looking to purchase a G35 coupe cash here in a couple of months. Just a few quick questions. For those who have kids, I have a two year old son, how have your experiences been with the coupe? I am getting a truck with more than enough room, but I just want to know how a car seat works out in the coupe. I already know the valentine 1 is the best radar detector, but I was interested in having it hard wired into the car, has anyone done this? I have no experience installing anything in a car so I'm not sure if I could do it myself. The third thing is a good dealership, I've had problems with driving up to dealerships (I drive a corolla) lol And I'm 23, so naturally the sales people think I'm a kid just coming to the dealership just to daydream. I don't feel I should have to come in with a bank statement to prove I can buy a car. I'm looking for a good deal but also good service and I'd be willing to fly somewhere and drive the car back to Atlanta. Just as long as it isn't far west. Any ideas? and btw, I really enjoy the forum even if I wasn't going to get a G35. Thanks!
lol pretty funny how things change.. now my G is twin turbo'd and I know these cars inside and out.

"Just ordered my 05 6 speed..I CANT WAIT

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heres the email from the dealer

Okay, we will have the car built to your specs:

2005 G35 Coupe 6MT
Ivory Pearl/Stone Leather
Premium Package
Aero Package (spoiler)
Navigation Package

You can decide you preferred method of payment between now and then.
I'll keep you informed as to the progress of the vehicle. The first
milestone is when we are notified of the VIN and the car is "at sea".
The next milestone is when it is at port (Los Angeles) and then, when it
is put on a railcar. That is the point when the estimated delivery date
here is sensible and reasonable.

Gil

im getting the car at dealer invoice. so this is a great deal..
he said it will be here aroung late march or early april...WOOHOOOO just in time for summer..

i plan on getting it turboed and all the normal mods to the engine performance...some 20's and a nice body kit..

i cant wait.. i am soo excited i have dreamed about this car forever"

haha everything came true except the turbo kit.. still waiting to see which one proves itself for the long run..

Hey man, are you from the ATL area?

I think I saw your car parked downtown at a late car meet... could not find you...

Really like your car, where did you get those front lights?

But I guess this is more like a first post (actually my 2nd post)

So I suppose I am curious as to what the Read underbody air diffusers look like (since it has the spoiler). Maybe some pics will help me? Any info would be helpfull.

Thanks!
Turns out the salseman didnt know anything at all, and I actually used the fact that it "didn't have the aero pkg" to lower the price...LOL

yeah, me too...I have over 4,000 post and it'll only go back 500 posts. And, that wouldn't actually be my first post because I originally registered under randyhurtado

Re: DON'T PAY MSRP ANYMORE

I live in the Dublin (Ohio) area too. The best I could do is 1100.00 off MSRP on an ordered '04 from a dealer in Pittsburgh.

~I still haven't ordered though....

You have to norrow your search down to a year ago and later. Look up your posts, or threads started.

Is the dealer lying to me

I placed an order for an 05 g35 6mt about two months ago, at Warren Henry Infiniti (in north miami) and I was told the car will be out in late Dec or early Jan. Which confirms with what the website says. But last week I went by to take a look at the interior of the 05's in person and the same dealer told me the 6mt will not be out until march. Can this be true??? Has anyone heard different from other dealers??

Current Car: 02 Altima 3.5 5spd
Future Car: 05 G35 6spd
ended up getting mine at Lokey Infiniti, for a great price

Go to search
Put in your username in the username field
Change the 'find posts from' field: to 'A year ago' - 'and older'

If you know where you posted, you can narrow the search to just that forum too

Damn it! I want to play also!

I've tried all the forums so I get less than 500 results, but can't get anything pre- November 2002.
