there was this crossfire on the freeway trying to race me. funny how it turned out to be an even run. thought it was going to be a walk in the park, i guess not.

 

There are two kinds of Crossfire engines. The lesser of the two (215hp/229tq) isn't very quick (I think they pull 15's in the 1/4), but the SRT (330/310 supercharged) will most likely pull on a stock G or at least hang with it (they run 13's). I've been in the Limited (the 215hp one) it was a nice ride but kind of underpowered. Word is the SRT's are pretty quick, though.

Yep, the srt has bigger wheels and an aerodynamic styling diffrent than that of the limited.

Yea I was considering an SRT6. They out handle the g35 and run in M3 territory. 13.1- 13.3 @ 107-109mph. They're fun lil f*ckers to drive too. Imagine an s2k with a fixed roof and 3x the torque.

I guess I'm missing something. Do you own a G35 or just pretending to own one? If all you care about is 1/4 mile times, get a GTO.

 

The SRT6 has a fixed whale tail I believe, makes the car even uglier than the normal one in my opinion. For some reason a few women that I know like the styling!?! But yeah, they are pretty fast both on the track and straight line from what I've read. Also EXPENSIVE!

 

My dad has an '04 Crossfire 6mt. He claims his car feels as fast as mine. I beg to differ. I challenged him to a race, but he does not want to get into trouble with the law. The fastest times I have seen posted on the crossfireforums were 14.8s-14.9s. I run consistent 14.3s-14.4s. The interior in a Crossfire is so bland and the features compare to a neon.

The SRT-6 is cosmetically different with a front lip, multi-spoke wheels, and a fixed rear spoiler.
