Interesting Thought.

Theoretical Question:

Do you think a Nissan rebadged G35 (Skyline) would make this list?

Ah, the influence of market perception vs. the reality.

Well, it's good to be on that list regardless. Hopefully people will see it on the list and want it more and be willing to pay more for the car!

How do you figure that?

From last i could tell, these things were selling way faster than they could build them and people were selling used ones for the same price as new ones

You're right. However, when I think of value retention I think longer term than 6 months-1 year. The deal with the tC is that it is new and people want it, just like the xB when it came out. In a year they will be all over and their ability to retain their value will be no better than most similarly priced cars. At least that's what I think. We'll see.

Hmm.. true. This we won't know for sometime. I imagine these statistics are just from resale amounts.

Oh ya, I totally agree it's a great car for the cost. If they offered them in Canada I might be driving one now. I just don't think that in 1-2 years their re-sale will be as good as it is now just due to over-exposure and more supply vs demand. I guess what I'm saying is the high resale is a blip because it's new. I certainly agree it's an awesome car for < 20k.
