I did my first damage to my g yesterday. I backed into something and put about three thick 1/2" scratches into my white rear bumper. Also nicked the corner of the metal where the bumper and rear fender meet(not bad).

I need to get this fixed because it is very apparent since the marks are black and the car is white. Does the bumper need to get repainted or is it possible to do it another way? I tried compound but too much paint came off so it wont work.
Aprrox. how much does it cost to repaint a rear white bumper? Can anyone recommended a good shop in norther NJ.

Sorry to hear about your damage...sh*t happens...

Anyway, there are places that do spot repairs and touch ups, but imho
they aren't as great of a finish as getting the entire bumper repainted.
They can probably fix your metal part doing that touch up technique
though.

I'd say about $350-400 for the job, but certified places might ask for more.

I saw in one of your threads that you had a problem with a deep scratch. Sorry to hear but the same thing happened to me tonight also. I wanted to know if there is anyway to fix it properly with touch up or if there are people that do this. Its one scratch about an inch long mayb a bit smaller and you can see the lack on my white bumper. PLease need help im in nyc thank you.
