If you think your kid is going to be in your car frequently, don't get the coupe. IT JUST NOT PRACTICAL. I got my coupe because I never put my daughter in my car. Once every few months I say. She sits very comfortably in my wifes G sedan. It's very big and spacious with lots of leg room for kids. The back door also opens almost 90 degress, which was one feature that we really like.

My 2.5 year old fits fine. I can squat in the foot well, turn and put her in the seat. One thing to think about is that I'm not sure how much she can see. The window sill is high and I think she can only see out the front between the seats. We are not the tallest group. So pointing out the scenery doesn't do much for her.
That said, she got sick in the car last weekend.
My opinion is that seeing the non-moving horizon helps to keep your balance and perspective and that is why she may have gotten sick. (plus I was carving a lot of turns).

but since this is the secondary car, go for it.

I agree if you have the G as a second car it will be fine. I have a 5 year old. She fits fine but we use a booster seat as she like to look out the window.

To add about car seats - the rear seats have the LATCH system for the sides of the seats and the top LATCH. Use that and it will be easy to install a forward facing non-booster seat.

Not ready for a booster yet, so don't know.

get the car.

My previous two cars were both Audi A4's - great fun, perfectly reliable and easy easy easy to get the kids in/out of the back seat.

I take delivery of my G35 coupe Friday, and I have a 5yr old (in a Brittax carseat) and an 8yr old (no car seat). After much testing and thinking, I chose the coupe (which I personally prefer over the sedan, which to me is a smidge too large) since the kids are only in it a few times a week and the 5yr old can fasten her own seatbelt across the Brittax.

And they both LOVE Daddy's new "sportscar". Mom has a minivan, which we both really like for Family Trips, etc.

Guess I'll be another voice in the choir...
I occasionaly have to drive my little sister around in a pinch (shes 6 now.) The booster seat she uses (she's kinda light) fits in without any problems in the back and she always liked riding in it . Hope this will help.

I dont' know guys. Ofcourse you can use the back seat, that's why it's there. But as far as the practicality goes, sedan is ALWAYS better. I take my car seat off everytime becuase it just looks so nappy with one and that's just me. I only use it one in few month anyways. I hope I can switch it to booster soon but I'm trying to keep my daughter in her child seat as long as possible because it's safer. If you gonna have more kids, you should definitely reconsider.
