Was going for a TSX but decided on the G35

I just picked up a 2003 Ivory Pearl w/ Graphite!! It is sweet. For almost two months, I was undecided on the TSX, TL-S, and G35. With the reviews on this board, I was able to find out what I needed, where to go, and how much I should pay. I did pay MSRP but was able to get accessories for free. The car itself is beautiful. It purrs and handles great.

The only concerns I have are 1) getting over the high price tag 2) seeing how well Infiniti service is compared to excellent service that Acura has been giving me. 3) Maybe getting a clear bra

Once again thanks for all the good information.

Now i almost decided on the 2003 Accord... My brother talked me into a g35..All he to say was that it was a skyline... From that point on i was hooked.....The order date was in Dec..2002 i got it Apr. 2003 it was worth the wait... It may have been the best decision i have made....

The sky is the limit

Jeez, you guys had the same choices as me! I was looking at the CL-S, TSX (with nav only), Accord V6, 6 spd (with nav only), the 330iPP, 330Ci and but of course...the G35.

Believe it or not, I still wonder about the Accord, it was the closest contender. The only thing I couldn't get over was the fact that it cost $28,500 and the 4 cyl version was available (pricewise) to everyone. I wanted exclusivity and I got it with the G! However, I still wonder about the BMW's. They still catch my eye on the road. (Even though I beat a 330Ci very easily!)

Anyway, good choice and good luck with it!

Me too. I went from "no thoughts of buying a new car whatsoever" to a G35C 6MT in my garage in two months. NYC car show is what did it for me. This car is a force of nature...

Nyc auto show (2003) did it for me too...that silver/graphite one on the platform. I sat in audis, bmws...and they were nice. Really nice.
But I sat in the G (after waiting in the longest line) and I was EXCITED...I knew I had to have it!! That car was drawing more attention than the nearby z roadster!

Re: Was going for a TSX but decided on the G35

I never even shopped for any other cars. When I first saw a picture of the coupe in Motor Trend about a year ago, it was love at first sight. Then I read about its performance, features, and bang for the buck factor, and my mind was made up. I briefly looked around in the mags and online at other cars in the same category, but none of them could touch the G35C in terms of performance, styling, and price. Its not a cheap car, but when you consider all the features and performance you get, its one of the best deals out there.

Re: Was going for a TSX but decided on the G35

I was about to purchase a Nissan Maxima a year ago but then I saw the G Sedan. I had to have it!!! Then I saw the Coupe and it won hands down. Good choice.

Saw a TSX on the road for the first time yesterday as I was leaving work. It's a nice looking car, IMO, better than the RSX (the butt doesn't look as bubbly) but with only 200 hp it ain't worth it.
