"Stop breaking the law a$$hole!"

J/k. If you can make it to court, then there is always the chance of the penalty being reduced or the ticket getting thrown out. I actually got a ticket 2 days ago for doing 71 in a 50. Luckily, I found out that since my ticket was in NJ and I'm from NY, the points don't carry over. I guess I'll just pay the $200 fine since its cheaper than missing a day of work to go to court. Good luck.

Quit being morons and suggesting he not speed if he doesn't want to get tickets. It doesn't add to the conversation one bit. Everyone here speeds no matter how hard they try not to, some just have more luck than others. The speed limits in this country are not just a joke, but dangerous. I'm all for making it as hard as possible for the government to get any more of my money, especially through laws that are designed to produce money and have the side effect of killing people.

I'd be willing to bet that I follow the speed limit closer than anyone else on this list and I got a 40 in a 30 several months ago. I was doing 70 in a 75 on the interstate. There was a cop sitting at the exit but I didn't think anything of it since I assumed he was clocking Interstate traffic. Wrong, he was clocking the speed of cars getting off the Interstate. After he wrote me the ticket, I asked him if he expected me to slow to 40 ON the Interstate before I exited and he said "Yes if you don't want another ticket".

Of the other 3 tickets I've had in my life, 2 were for less than 4mph over. The other was when I was young for 10mph over that I deserved, but it was at a 45 to 35 speed drop. When I say "AT" I mean the cop passed me going the other way just before the sign. He gave me the ticket on the basis that I couldn't have slowed down in time.

we speed but we dont (me personally go 50 into 25) I say plead guilty, pay the find, and learn that next time dont go so fast in a 25 mile zone.
