After we factor in the taxes and such its pretty much the same. Paid $58900 CAD for a fully loaded 6MT w/Nav after tax. Thats around 35000 USD I think

Re: Canadian vs US prices?
Generally cars in Canada run 5-10% cheaper than comparable models - that is true of all manufacturers. It is basically a result of the recent devaluation of the Canadian dollar versus the US. Had manufacturers raised their prices to keep equivalency with the US there would have been a buyer revolt and a slump in sales volume. It leads to interesting things: for example, there are almost no new Thunderbirds in Canada because they were all snapped up and shipped over the border since they were so much cheaper. Ford had to respond by raising the price $5k and instituting penalties on dealers who knowingly sold to people who exported. So instead, they have lower margins in Canada - or to put it another way, you guys in the US subsidize us! Manufacturers compensate to some degree by reducing the option choices - you'll notice that we only have G35 packages - Base, Premium, and Premium with Aero &/or Navi. There are no other choices or single options - mind you, HID & leather are standard.
