3k nah, for the G, this is gonna be a 5k deal...think bumper, painting, exhaust system, frame damage, (all cars have crumple zones now), tail lights, and actual body shop costs for repair time. Better to just have insuarance taking care of it, plus his prelude is all smashed up, so it's gonna be a big one. The exhaust is not $300, you're looking at replacing pipes, all the way up, a hit like that will crack welds and you have to replace most of the system. I wouldn't let the just replace the tips.

As for the friend part, he's one of my closest friends, I would do anything to make this process easier. On the other hand, I don't want to be stuck with an unfixed car with a crappy paint job. I'll have to see exactly whats up with his insurance and everything.
