the auto moving front seats

i don't know how to say this, so here goes.

my ex had a 04 g35 and when someone needs to get to the back seats, the front seat of the passenger side would move forward and back auto.

i just brought a 05 g35 and now there seems to be a button to push to move the seats auto. the seats do move forward on a push of a button, but does not move back to its normal position, i have to do this manuelly all the time. is there something i don't know about? or do i have faulty seats?

Well once you use the lever to bring to seat forward, by pressing the button the seat moves to the front. To bring it to the position it was in you just click the button again, and the seat moves back.

Also, if you shut the door between the time you push the button to move the seat up, and the time you push the button to move the seat back, it doesn't "remember" that the seat is up. Bad design... but what can u do.

also... if you fold the seat over and push the button, you have to push the button before you fold the seat back or it won't return to position.
