Is it possible that the exterior upgrades will be the Nismo kit?

 

I doubt it, unless Nismo has plans for another version in the works. Got to have something special for people to order. And I get the distinct impression that the rear spoiler has been revised. Maybe something taking cues from the Data Systems or something much more subtle, such as the little lip spoilers.

I was getting ready to get my DS spoiler painted and installed. Maybe I'll wait and see what the '06 looks like first.

 

Yeah, I would think so based on his "spoil" and "little" comment.

 

I hope that the new sides aren't nismo's and that the rear spoiler is a lip type, cause that's what i have. Damn to spend money on things just to look stock.

 

regarding spoilers here's what i think. nissan knows there are a lot of aftermarket spoilers now for the G and they probably might not dare come up again w/ something most will not like, and also not to alienate existing owners w/c did get it. so i think the spoiler would still be the same, or it'll be spoilerless but with an accented trunk. bumper, side sills will be a little different though.

 

I guess I'm a little irritated that they would make such significant changes less than one year after making pretty significant changes to the 05MY. I assumed I was safe from changes until at least 07.

 

just got back from a regional meeting at Infiniti in Somerset,NJ. I got to see a 06 G coupe & the headlights & taillights are different. The front fascia & sills are also different...

I think the major changes are all pretty minor...major to me means facelift...bmw 3 series 2005 to 2006 was a major change.
Or perhaps I'm just trying to make myself feel better for buying an '05 3 weeks ago

 

Infiniti prolly knew that ppl would think like you...if there wasnt any changes no one would really buy an 06, settling for an 05 or waiting till 07. Meanwhile Infiniti still gots to pay the bills....sooo makes sense they would try and entice ppl who are on the fence to commit to an 06

 

My guess is the new taillights will be full LED and have raised circular sections instead of just being smooth. We'll see.
