I'm cancelling my 05 Athens Blue and waiting for the 06

 

Infiniti is still a cheap *** not to put the trunk opening button on the bumper and not the tail light. The tail light looks ugly with that switch. Honestly, I am VERY GLAD that I got 05, except for the Intelligent Key!

I dont like the new taillights that much. i-key is a great feature though. As stated before, I prefer the iron board to that new spoiler. I love the projectors but hate that the clearance strip is gone It looks so nice at night time. I cant wait to see the MT though.

6Mt is not gonna have a diff fascia...All sport tuned suspension models have a diff fascia, including ATs. If you notice closely, the front bumper openings are a little different, and its the same front fascia you will find on a 6mt.

 

I like the projectors. Looks like they darkened the bottom part of the low beam bezel. I did this before as well, otherwise you tend to get glare from the projector hitting that part.

Other than that, I'm ambivalent about the headlights. I don't like the new front bumper. They made the air inlets smaller, and gave the car a smile.

 

correct me if im wrong but the 05's look like they have a smile too! Ive been comparing the 05 front picture to the 06's and still havent been able to really see a difference

lol.. while we're arguing about how different the 06 looks from the 05, regular people (who are not g drivers) will not be able to tell anything has changed at all!

 

Don't know about 05, but there is a difference. Look at the air inlets. The shape at the medial and lateral borders.

Regular people tend to suck when it comes to car appreciation and an eye for details. My wife has thought nearly every coupe with little side-rear windows since 1990 has looked like a Mustang, just because the shape of the glass is similar.

The '06 front has harder lines/creases where the '05 doesn't. Likewise, the middle section of the lower bumper looks higher (relative to the rest of the bumper, not just the ground). There are enough subtle changes that the overall look is different.

 

^ different, and ugglier IMO. I like the normal bumper more. Great thing that 06es can be obtained with standard front bumpers.
