Leasing the G35 Coupe
I'm considering leasing the G35 coupe, but need to know a good monthly rate as well as the initial downpayment. I'm located in southern california.
Re: Leasing the G35 Coupe
You may want to include the lease terms such as mileage and lease length.
Mine is for 48 months with something like 97$ down (odd number -- not sure why they wanted it... oh well) came out to ~500$ a month + tax. This was for 12k miles a year as well. I wish they had a 10k lease since I drive 5-7k a year.
You can go to Infiniti's website and configure your desired car and it has a payment calculator. The lease was pretty much on-target if you put the down payment and terms in there.

Re: Leasing the G35 Coupe
I just leased my Coupe last week in SoCal, and I'm paying $500 per month. I think I got screwed though. I have a fully loaded G35C 6MT, that stickered at $37,615. Total down was $8,700, with cap reduction of about $7,000 (the rest were deposit, fees, first month, tags, title, etc). My money factor was .00271 (about 6.5% - this is where I got screwed I think). It's only a 24 month lease, with 12,000 annual mileage. Residual was around 63%. So that's where I think I can make some of my money back at the end of the lease, because I don't see this car depreciating $14k in only 2 years and 24,000 miles. Edmunds predicts the car will depreciate only $10,189 in the first 2 years at 15k miles per year, and that appears to be conservative, because they rate the car's depreciation cost as 'high'. Kelley Blue Book predicts the depreciation will be $14.8k over 5 years and 70k, which is almost the same as mine with only 2 years and 24k. There was also an article somewhere that predicted the top 10 new models with the lowest expected depreciation, and the G35C was on the top 10 list.
So I suspect this car is one where you really get raked over the coals up front on a lease, but you make it up on the back end.

Re: Leasing the G35 Coupe
Ouch! 7k$ down... That puts the real payment to 800$/month almost. However, for a 24-month lease, I would expect that. Dealers tend to really nail you for only leasing a car for 2 years (third and fourth year depreciation usually is a lot less dollar-wise in their eyes). I almost got the same car you did minus the 6MT, but some evil wench bought it out from under me. My salesman wasn't happy the other guy did that since I LICKED THE CAR FIRST ;-). I'm happy w/o the DVD Nav since I don't drive enough to use it.
My residual is only going to be like 15k$ after 4 years. I'll put a max of 30k miles on it, so I might be able to make off by buying it and selling (or keeping!) it when the lease terms end.

Re: Leasing the G35 Coupe
Hello: when i shop for G two weeks ago, one dealer offer an leaseing term of 419 plus tax for 48 mos with 6500 down on the purhase price of 36740(5ATcoupe with prem and LO-JACK!), residual of bout 17500, i wasnt going to lease cause i want to keep the car for long time and possible to do lil mod on it. if i would purhase out right its 655 a mos with 6% rate. just lil math on it for comnparason...eventhought i save bout 200 a mos for a lease, if i keep the car in the end, i would've paid the more than purashe it out right...saw an ad for audi A6 for 379 plus tax for 48mos with 3000 down, the MSRP is around 37000, if you would lease the G i would diffinitly get that term or lower!...s.w.

A word of advice to people considering leasing, don't put a bunch of money down. You're better off setting that money aside and using it to help pay the higher monthly payment (if needed). Here's why: if you get in a car wreck in the first year or two and your car is totaled, you're going to lose that down payment, because the insurance company is only going to pay you trade-in bluebook, which will almost certainly will not be enough for you get any of your money back after the leasing company gets theirs.
Now if you were purchasing the car outright, the down-payment is actually good because it keeps you from being upside-down, ie owing more than the insurance payoff and having to pay money to the lendor. But that's not the case with a lease because lease companies pretty much always require Gap coverage insurance, which will cover any difference between the insurance payoff and what you owe the lease company. So if you don't put any money down and you're still upside down when your car gets totaled out, it doesn't matter because the Gap insurance will pay.
To me, the whole point of a lease is to get relatively low monthly payments without a big down-payment and then get rid of the car for something new in 3-4 years. If you have a lot of money for down-payment or plan on keeping the car beyond its warranty period, you're probably better off buying it outright instead of leasing.
My lease on a $34.5K G35 sedan is for 42 months, 15k miles/year. I put no money down (except for disposition fee and first month's payment), and my monthly payment is $560. That's based on a money-rate of .0025. BTW, if you have decent credit you _can_ get them to deal on the money rate. For people who don't know much about the details of leasing, that's where they like to make their extra hidden profit. They originally quoted me a money rate of .0032, which is an APR of 7.68%. When they realized that I knew how leases are calculated, they didn't even bat an eye when I asked for a money rate of .0025 (which in hindsight makes me think I might have been able to go even lower).

Re: Leasing the G35 Coupe
Monday, I'm accepting delivery of a leased 6MT with a capitalized cost of $36,257 (including acquisition fees). Cash due on delivery is $546.19, and the payments are $496.19 for 48 months. The rate is 1.54%.
Consumer Reports agrees that you should put as little money down as possible if you are leasing a car; a large down payment makes sense only if you are buying.

hmmm.. compared to all of you i got an awesome deal on my lease. my 6 speed coupe came in at $34995 and we left the lot paying 0 down (actually $586) and $480 a month for 48 months 12,000 miles a year
Re: Leasing the G35 Coupe
I think I did ok on my deal but still not as good as some especially since I'm only 26 and this is my first new car and first lease. I paid $34,900 for a 6MT with everything minus Navi. I put $4000k down with a money factor of .0026 (I think).
I'm payin $488 a month with 12k yearly mileage. Again I did put down a little more then I wanted to and the money factor wasn't as goos as I wanted but I think I did better than some. You do have to be very careful when leasing cause there are many hidden ways the deal can make extra money off you. I bought a little guide about leasing before I did just to avoid getting screwed.
