I'm a big supporter of Zaino too, but I'm going to add to that a little. First, I think a good surface is ideal to maiking Zaino look good. When they say it's optically perfect they mean it, so if you have scratches, marring, swirls, cobwebs, oxidation, whatever... it will exagerate, not hide them. Z5 has fillers, which help, but if you want to make Z2 pro look its best do yourself a favor and eliminate the swirls first. I've seen Z2 on cars with swirls and it just makes them look worse than having no sealant/wax at all. Just my $0.02 on that.

Also, after applying a few coats of Zaino (when you're sure you're getting the durabilty you want out of it) I find topping it with a carnuba makes it look even better. Poorboys Natty, Mothers Carnuba, Souveran, P21S, NXT, most of them look great over a few coats of Zaino, they just add a depth to the wet reflective look you get from Zaino. You won't be able to apply more Zaino until you remove the wax later though.

Oh, and re: the different between Zaino and NXT, I'd take that bet. I don't think either would look "better", but I know they look different. I was always moderately happy with Zaino alone, but like I mentioned above a coat of carnuba over it helps a lot.

Wheel wax is good stuff . . . except that it doesn't last very long. I haven't done it yet myself, but I think Z2 would be great on the wheels since Zaino's durability can't be beat. No way it will last 6 months on the wheels like it does on paint, but it will certainly buy you more then the 2 to 3 weeks I got out of the Wheelwax.

I use both Zymol and Zaino.

Zymol I use on my millenium silver Lexus RX 300
Zaino on my G35

Both give excellent shine, with a slight nod to the Zymol for greater depth of shine and Zymol for greater durability.

Awesome - you are the second person I have seen that has even heard of Natty!

Arer you talking about Klasse? P21? Pinnacle? 3M? Which products?
I use Auto Magic. I have never heard of a professional detailer use Maguiars. I didn't think Maguiars makes different grits of wax. When I was detailing the guy that did the buffing used three different grits on all the cars, don't remember it all (was 15 years ago) but I know the first one was 4000 grit.

Shame - it's probably my favorite "bang for the buck" wax. Blue Natty's looks incredible on black cars.

One thing no one has mentioned is Griot's Garage Best of Show wax along with their polish, clay bar and Speed Shine (and their new Spray Wax works really well too right after you wash). The Best of Show wax gives a depth that no other product, especially Zaino, can match. So many people argue that additional coats of Zaino give more 'depth' but it gives a greater depth in the shine, not the actual paint color like Griot's does. The only down side is that you can only order it through their catalog or online (but the same goes for Zaino).

If oyu haven't tried it, I seriously suggest trying it out.

I am in 100% agreement with you on both counts!

I forget the name of the new tire cleaner I am using--I think it is Meguires. It has an adjustable spray nozzel for low-high profile tires and it lasts pretty well.
