let me start by introducing myself. My name is Derek and i love cars. Cars are my hobby, my passion, and my life. I currently have a modded 87 toyota supra turbo that was my first ever car. Its been through a lot but now the phase of owning just a pure sports car is dying. The need to go fast has definetly gotten old rather quickly and in a car trying to get it to go faster and faster, it gets REALLY expensive. That is why i bought an 01 gsxr 600 last year. Now that i have 2 summer toys i ride my bike 99% of the time because it's thrilling and the gas consumption is much better while the speed is insane.

But again the bike gets boring unless you have buddies to ride with. Also you can't really take people out for rides, you can't jam to tunes, its not very practicle. Also insurance is through the roof for those things so i think this year will be my last out of 3 great yrs of riding. It just isn't worth paying that much for insurance.

Being in Canada i must have a winter car so i have a 95 ford escort. It's just a car but i HATE having 3 vehicles. I just want to get rid of all 3 of my vehicles and buy a g35 coupe, black on black leather, 6 sp, brembos, 18s, navigation. that i think would give me an equal amount of performance, luxury, comfort.

Only problem is i don't think i could get 1/2 of what a g35 costs if i sold all 3 vehicles and that proposes a problem. Monthly car payments, FULL insurance coverage = huge coinage which i don't think i'm ready to commit to. Maybe in 3 yrs time i'll have saved enough to just purchase one straight up.

 

is there a point to this post besides you wanting to get a G35c in 3 years? by that time if you want to get a new on the GTRs will have been out for a year or two. and if you want brembo's you'd be getting an '04. the '05 doesn't have them, but the 05 6mt does have 19's. good luck with your decision. and in 3 years i bet there are going to be a few other choices you could have besides the g35 coupe.
