What would you do?

Would you rather buy a 05 g35 and add a BBK kit, $36k (car) + 3k (bbk) = $39k

Or buy a used 04 g35 for around $30k? (already has Brembos) and spend 10k in mods?

i'm stuck, can't decide =/

If I were going to spend $40K on a car, I'd spend a couple of more K and be driving an M35.

The G and M are two totally different classes of cars. Nothing that can be compared to. If you want a nice luxorious comfortable ryde, buy the M. If you want the sleek looking, head turning, bad as* ryde, get the G. If you're between the ages of 21-mid 30's, you'll appreciate the G more.

If all you want is the look of the G35, get the used one and spend 10k in mods cuz those mods will take you far. If you care more about the 20 extra hp between the 04' and 05', then buy it new. But then again, with the extra 10k, you'll have more than 20hp if you plan on buying the turbo kit.

Personally I always get new cars. I think of it as this way "My as* better be the first one in the seat!"

yeh the M is nice, but if you're young, the G is a little more sporty.

I always prefer 'new', but there are some very respectable 'used' g's out there too.

It depends. The used one will give you much more room for mods since it is so much cheaper, but the new one will, well, be new. It will have a brand new warranty, low miles, and will have a much higher resale value. If you buy the 04 and put 10k into mods, you will never ever see that money again. The 05 will sell much higher.

If you plan on going FI, get the used one, if not, get the new one.

No kidding. Show me where I compared them. Have fun looking, because I didn't.

The thread asked "what would you do" not "what would you do If you're between the ages of 21-mid 30's." I answered accordingly.

Further, an M turns my head quicker than a 20 year old in a G coupe.

BINGO!

It depends on where you are in life. You answer the question in a manner to fit your perspective, and I'll do the same.

Think about how sick of a ride you would have with 10k of mods,

You could either be Hella fast, and and Nice body kit

Or hella body kitted with rims, and pretty fast

10k in mods hands down
