Absolutely Yes! Whatever floats your boat . . . Or in this case . . . Your G.

Just got the G friday evening and I've just been playing George Thoroughgood "BAD TO THE BONE" over and over since Saturday. It just seems to fit.

Odd that this thread is here. Today is the first day country has come out my speakers in the heart of downtown LA. And all I can say is that it was an accident...I was testing my SEEK button since its not responding sometimes when I press it.

Imma SoCal boy, but occasionally I'll listen to Country on my way up to the lakes for some fishin' in my pals bass boat...(his car, his radio...I just go along)

round my parts you get shot for playing rap... ...ever heard of HICK-HIP? "I played chicken with the train!"...don't get me wrong, I love me some R&B and old school rap anyday of the week. I grew up in the LA area and was a breaker in high school (can still bust on any brotha and make him say, "okay, the white boy's got moves") but I always tend to conform to my surroundings and now that I'm in Texas (and in the sticks), I like Country too.

Well, I figured that parking with a Chevy SSR would be an issue in the Bay Area... That, and the fact the SSR has crappy mileage, which would make it a target in an area where people key SUVs.

Since an Asian guy listening to country isn't going to look "half way normal" anyway, why not have a cool ride?

Johnny Cash, Yes.
That chit they call country and play on the radio, NO. Unless you want to say things like, "I got ah big truck a der der der."
But the same goes for the rest of the crap that you find when you turn on your radio.

BAN YOUR RADIO stations or stick to public radio. It is all a bunch of marketing bs. Don't fall for the hype.

Try WREK online in Atlanta for starts. Over night alternative is pretty good. KEXP in Seattle is good and has an awesome Jazz show on sunday nights. I'm not talkin smooth jazz here either. There is good music out there, good alternative country, but you are not going to here it on the radio.

Expand your minds.
