I'm a newbie to the G35, I currently own a 2003 Cobra and am picking up an 05 G35 6MT in a few weeks when it arrives. I keep hearing talk about the new headlights in the 2006 G35? What is wrong with the current headlights? Arent all G35 equipped with Xenon (HID) lighting?

 

Xenon headlights come with the premium package, but the fogs are standard junk! The Xenon headlights are ok, but nothing great. The 2006 headlights will have projectors headlights which most people seem to prefer.

 

the 06 will have projector headlights minus the clearance strip along the side. its replaced by a reflector. take a look at some pics

 

Just curious why you're getting rid of your cobra? That is one quick machine.

 

I don't race it and I want something thats a bit nicer/more luxuorious to drive each day. I love the Cobra, and if I was addicted to speed, I would def keep it. The G isnt slow, I think its just right for a DD.

I think you'll find the '05 lights to be to your satisfaction... ...unless you're a headlight afficienado. They should be an upgrade from the Cobra, which is all that you're probably going to notice.
