If you weren't already pissed about gas prices...
Well in Canada here...Alberta to be specific, we produce a ton of Oil/Gas/Fuel and we are paying a lot for fuel as well...go figure, It is all taxes and ****...the actual cost of the fuel is cheap but then the government adds 40-75% tax on top of that which makes the price go through the roof.
Think of it this way....How much does 1 gallon of water cost? 1 Gallon of milk? 1 Gallon of beer? Dont you think that there is a lot more going into producing Fuel than either of those, and its cheaper....
Just a thought.

Maybe the UN should have passed another 17, before we did something.
actually we invaded them beceause we wanted control of the oil. There were no weapons of mass destruction. No capability of making those weapons, this will be heavan for the oil companies when they stabalize the area.

The majority of our gas comes from the Middle East. Iraq is one of the biggest producers in the region along with the Saudi's and Iranians. Because there is unstability in Iraq it causes instability in the rest of the region and makes it cost more to produce crude oil/gas in the region, instability causes crude prices to go up and affects us here in the US. Meanwhile, Gas companies pumping in the US are not dealing with instability ...so they're cost to produce crude/gas remains the same, but they reep higher profits because of the situation in the middle east which is driving up the price. Then good ol President Bush signs in an energy bill that gives oil companies a 5 billion dollar tax break, after having the oil companies have just made the highest record profits in US HISTORY.
Good ol' Bush, who says he's in the pocket of big oil? You gotta be silly if you say that!!

For the majority of us, the rising price of gas is just a big nuisance, which we will learn to live with. For others, it will definitely be difficult to deal with.
I guess this forum is about G35 "coupe” and you are taking about the gas in here what is the point I don’t get it. You should take this theater to off-topics or other forum that’s related to your subject. We had enough from bad news everyday and it’s time to take break by sharing good things to forget all bad things.

Yeah, right the media is so anti-Bush......nothing is good when talking about the Bush administration. For example: If the unemployement claims are up....BUSH IS BAD, but if the claims are down they don't mention him at all.If we continue to have 3 and 4 cars per household the price is oil will never go down. It is all supply and demand.
if you think our gas prices are up just b/c our cost of living is more your crazy. most of your top oil companies are showing increases in profit of almost double of what they were just a few years ago. you might say were paying more, but arent they paying moreper barrel too. all i'm saying is they shouldnt be seeing the kind of profits there seeing right now. as gas is over 3.00 in parts of the country, ridiculous.
