Introducing myself
Introducing myself
Hello, I've been reading different g35 forums for a while, and decided this is the most active and best one to actually register with. I am currently driving a :shudder: '95 Honda Accord 4 dr. And it's time to get back to my RWD passion! When looking for a new car, there are sadly not very many options for RWD lovers anymore (without going into debt and hiding). So for a few small seconds I was torn between an Rx-8 and the 6mt, oh how easy the choice was. As a young buck I was raised with FWD cars, it was not until my friend showed me a "project" car his dad had given to him, a '67 Buick Skylark 2 dr. droptop, with a 455 dropped in! oh my I had fun riding in that one wheel wonder. So later on when I had some money, I bought a Z32TT, which imho (and number wise) was the best Z made to this day. I loved the car so much, despite the fact it was not in the best of shapes. Time came, money was thrown into it, and the smartest choice was to sell it to someone who could help it. Then I had to go back to slow FWD cars and have hated it every time I drive. So now I have ordered an '06 6mt blk/blk premium no nav no rear wheel steering and am trying my best to patiently await the call telling me it has actually been built, and so on. So there you are, a little introduction.
Welcome here. Good choice on forums. There are others, but folks tend to get their trusses in a wad if you drop an F-Bomb or call someone a jackass. Here almost everything is fair play as long as you keep it above the waist.
Did you buy at Grubbs? (looking at your location) I'm in Corpus BTW.. (unfortunately)

It won't have the torque of that BB Skylark, but it will put a continuous smile on your face, even when sitting still.
Be patient and g/l with its delivery.

No, I ordered from Crest Infiniti. I read some things about Grubbs that didn't strike me as the best place to go to get a 6mt. I was treated very well at Crest and am working with the fleet manager there.
And yes... I test drove a 6mt there, and was happy with the power, (yes a far cry from my friends skylark or even my TT) however my aim for a new car was a N/A seeing as turboed or supercharged eats up gas and causes more problems down the road.
