That really sucks! I can tell you that Infiniti replacement glass is not cheap. I had an 03 sedan windshield replaced at the dealer and it cost over $1000 to replace, insurance company would not cover total.

gotta love houston roads.

and why would you want the dealer to replace your windshield?

I've found they really skimmped on the glass on the G. One tiny rock cracked that cheap glass. Get someone else to install some PPG glass - my brother had to get his windshield replaced, and it takes rock chips like a champ. My brand new windshield cracked in one hit. Glad I got it replaced.

From my experience the glass on the car isn't that great anyway. I was doing 45mph on I-10 in Houston and a rock took a nice sized chip outa the right of my windshield. I got it fixed for free thanks to insurance, but there is no way it should have even chipped.

I was quoted 450 for my front windshield for the G20 from the dealer but local windshield shops should be alot cheaper, just not Inifiniti glass. I ended up getting one form a local shop for 120.

I was doing 80mph on 59. Is there any difference between aftermarket glass and factory glass?

WhyTF is it so damn expensive?? I have that homelink mirror too, does that affect anything?
