STANDARD RADIO ON THE COUPE

Fellow G35c owner, can you please tell me if the standard radio is decent or is the Bose upgrade strongly recommended.

Thanks in advance.

Re: STANDARD RADIO ON THE COUPE

i have the standard radio.....it is 160 watts for 6 speakers with 6cd changer in-dash, it does the job well for a stock system.

the bose upgrade is only 80 more watts than standard, with 2 extra speakers in the back, NOT worth it in my opinion, especially if you plan on upgrading the sound system later.

Many, many people are disappointed at the $900 bose system, the sound quality is not as good as a custom $900 sound system would be.

Re: STANDARD RADIO ON THE COUPE

When i first got my G, i thought the bose was pretty weak. It had a full sound, but not very strong.

However, after only a week, I'm very happy with it. It hits' plenty strong and still has a very full quality to it. I sometimes get a little impatient with the 6 disk changer, but that's ok.

A lot of people will tell you the Bose is crap. It's definitely far from the best out there and you will probably be able to do better if you put together your own system with the $900, but I don't mind it. It's got good midrange and more than enough bass for me...highs are the best thing that could be improved in my opinion but they're definitely not too bad. If you do decide to get it, make sure you give it time to break in before you pass judgement on it. Mine changed dramatically for the better once broken in.
