got my glass replaced 2 weeks ago by safelite. 320 including new wipers. the glass is PPG and it is NOT the same as the oem glass. there is some distortion from the left and right edges to about 3 inches in. I was getting headaches for the first few days, but I think I got used to it.

kinda like getting a prescription corrective lense windshield? :/ I've heard mixed comments about the PPG glass. Didnt they used to be high quality?

Got mine done yesterday by Safelite - No deductible on the insurance!

There is some distortion on the bottom which I betted on, but the seating position is such I hardly notice it.

Right of the bat i know i would never let thos guys touch my car or my windshield i should say.

You should never use your hands without gloves to place the windshield. Oil from your fingers stays on the window where it suppose to come in contact with epoxy/glue and for the most part it doesnt stick perfectly.

Its those lil things like that which makes me go to osmeone who knows what they are doing and take pride intheir work.

I had mine done by safelite and the used their own "house brand" windshield. It had some distortion and a flat spot that the wipers would leave a puddle of water. Called them up, told them about the distortion, and they brought out a new piece of Pilkington glass, much better than the "S.A.G." glass. $270 with the new top molding piece.
