What is the American version of "rice"?
NOTICE: Definition:
Rice - Mainly used for import cars that have tacky, untasteful modifications performed. (ex. Look at the rice a$$ civic over there with the turbo blow-off whistle thing in the muffler, says he puts down 1296whp@13500rpm)

I catch myself usually refering too "cletis in his POS". I do agree, however, that America is in dire need of an appropriate pejorative term which would truly allow us to properly express our distaste towards the cars who's owners have little better to do with their time and money than to purchase a POS and then waste and equal amount of money trying to make the POS somehow better. To quote an old enlish gentleman, "If you put a pig in a dress and slap lipstick on it, it's still just a pig"

OMG. It's called distasteful really. "Rice" started off YEARS ago when Japanese imports were on our streets. My GRANDMA and GRANDPA call any foreign car "rice". They have no clue about it's use now, this is what they have always called them.
Nowadays when I hear someone say rice I lose any respect for them. If the car is distasteful...fine. Calling it "ricey" is the cool/mainstream thing to do.

Without getting anyone riled up, the demographic in my area with the worst taste in car-modding has to be the Mexican/Puerto Rican population.....VERY RARELY do you see a nicely done "taco Racer" LOLOLOL
All in good fun - i have many mex/pr friends (and some relatives) but it just cracks me up!
For me to see Rice, i gotta go to Philly, then i see 500 non-turbo eclipses with HUGE wings, neons, and coffee can mufflers...
Man, I hope nobody says that im "apple-pieing" my G35 out...
