I have a question regarding the keyless entry...

I just recently bought a 2005 G35 from Metro Inifniti, lakeshore slate ( a beautiful color! ) and the dealership asked me if I wanted to have an alarm installed for an additional $900 but I said no. Does the car have a kill feature to prevent the engine from starting when someone tries to break in and steal the car? and would the car start beeping if someone tried to break in? It already seems like it has an alarm system built in.

The factory alarm sucks. There is a thread about putting a cheap shock sensor in as an alternative. I personally went with a Viper 791XV alarm w/ remote start. So either way, you should definitely upgrade the alarm somehow, and not through the dealer ($900!?!?!).

How much did you pay for your alarm install, with remote start?
