I think getting a beater would be better, so you won't ruin your g. Driving in the snow can be harsh on your car. Salt might get on and you won't be able to wash your car among other things. I drove around last yr during the blizzard of NY without winter tires. I swore to myself that I would never drive in the snow again.

I work at a collision center for a dealership and the guys in the recon dept keep my car clean for me (it amazing what buying lunch and/or a few sodas will do) so salt is not a bid deal. As you know we had a ton of snow last year in the northeast. I think I may start with buying the Blizzaks, if it is really that bad I can always buy a beater then.
