Oh course they CAN get them. But look back to scenes from the first two. Where do YOU think all those cars from? The street race scene, race wars.... They can't import 30-40 extra cars. It is not cost efficient at all. Plus it wouldnt look as individual as the cars in "real" life are.

I agree with glennp...ff1 & 2 are known to be ricer-x movies... super riced out cars and bad acting. If they really are gonna do it different and in jdm fashion, then it should NOT be associated with the ff movie line. It cant be that hard to change the name of the movie and I think it would be in their best interest.

Guys...great questions and comments...I totally understand/respect your viewpoints.

My role here is limited...find some cool cars, JDM preferred.

Some of you have registered....thank you...

With the cars being examined shortly, it is my sincere desire to pull some hardcore authentic cars from every corner of the market, 350Z, G35, Evo, WRX, etc.

I've been circulating on tons of forums, especially the drift forums trying to find the truest-to-life drift-style/JDM cars I can.

Your help is appreciated.

I find my company casting about 1 gig per month...either a commercial, a movie, whatever, so please feel free to check my site periodically. www.moviecarz.com

Quote: For the love of god don't put a G35 in a fast in the furious movie-- Or if you do MAKE SURE ITS NOT RICE... I'll never forgive you if you take the class out of my car.

Badge it a skyline so I dont have to wear a bag over my head when I drive my infiniti

You guys obviously dont know who Craig is and I wouldnt expect much more from this forum, drop off your high horse for a second and realize what the man is trying to do. If you wanted this movie done respectfully where would you go? To the people who are going to be watching it, I wish he would post up some of the cars he has (especially the M3) and you would probably have a whole new respect for the guy.

Seriously, look at what the first fast and the furious did for the Supra here in the states.. NOBODY considers it to be rice and most look at that car as a legend. If a G35/Skyline/350Z was portrayed correctly in the third film imagine what it does for the value of of the car here. If I was in California I would be all over this, good luck in your search Craig.

Thank you for the kind words, Tony. Like most of you, I'm just a car geek who has found himself in the unique position of being able to earn a few bones while doing something I love. My cars are purpose built (for media exposure) and while some may question the mods or styles I pursue, no one can argue that they are great revenue earners. I hope to do the same for some of you.

I humbly offer examples of my money-earners:

In my humble opinion, I think this is a great opportunity. I have been contacted by a few of you and I think we've found a decent JDM G35 or two, but I encourage you guys with mods to register on my site (remember to type in the promo code word "free" to bypass the $15 annual subscription).

It must be hard to be humble when turning out rides like those.

And I do recall Craig's mainstream claim-to-fame... ...even before he posted the pic above of his orange Supra. But then again, I've always loved imports and have followed the scene for the past 15 years or so.

Keep up the good work, Craig. And thanks for extending the offer to have a nice G represent the family.

Some follow up...

We have 130 cars on set now.

We now have FOUR G35 Coupes on set...

1 VIP style
2 clean, fairly simple
1 Nismo style

We also have 20 RHD straight-from-Japan Skylines (R32/R33/R34)s

Congrats to all those selected.

We will have other opportunities in November and January on this project and we have two more movies about cars lining up for the Spring.

u shld hit up some initial D fans
they usually got some gr8 drift machines like the AE86, some Silvias, FDs, FCs.. pm me for more info on where to go (cuz I think if I told u here it'd be considered advertising or something)
u'll get tough love from these guys cuz after this movie... EVERYONE is going to be doing skreetch-o (basically.. instead of drifting, they will just skreetch their tires around a corner and call it drifting )

speaking of ID live action movie (since someone mentionned it) they are remaking a japanese version with the dub of the actual characters from the anime!
