Hey Guys,

My buddy had some extra parts in his garage and gave me a free injen CAI intake. The only thing is, the tube is black and not polished chrome like many of the others I've seen. Is there any difference? I know some have said there are differences between the auto and 6mt, is this the difference? I don't want to finish taking everything apart if this isn't going to fix. Thanks for your help.

Injen Cai
RD 1990 Auto
RD 1992 Manual

Black or polished is available for both. As long as you both have the same transmission your good !

The colour aside.

The red G is the RD1990 Auto CAI. The other is for Manual G's.

Can you note the diff?

yes it's the red one. I can tell because the small elbow that goes before the MAF. Looking at the way I have to set it up, the small elbow, MAF, then larger pipe.

So can I install this? Anyone looking to buy it? I just cleaned the filter and re-oiled it.

I wouldn't install it. There is probably a good reason why both trans. have a diff. model of CAI. If you contact Injen they will tell you. Sell it on my350Z.com . I will install my Z-tube/K&N tomorrow. I will let you know. I really wanted an Injen CAI at first and decided that a Z-tube/K&N was best after all of the research I did.
