Ive been reading this board and i noticed people waited for a while before getting their G35 coupe? Was it for the 5AT or 6MT. Im interested in getting a 5AT G35 blue coupe, fully loaded, in New Jersey.

How long do you think i'll wait before i get it? Anyone here who bought theirs in NJ and knows a dealer who got these in stock??

i don't know y people been wait like 3months to get one... I live in MD and my dealer is really small and they get about 5 coupes every other week constantly... and they told me maximum i need to wait to get one is about a month... since u live in NJ about 3-4 hour taveling and if u wanna get it on same day i can let u know the dealer phone number an such.. let me know.. btw it's likely u need to pay msrp... so be prepared but at least u don't have to wait like others..

Call Ray Catena Infiniti. When I bought mine, it was very hard to find a diamond Graphite/Graphite, without the spoiler. They called everyone (saved me time), and found one for me. I just had to wait a month to get it, and I got one with all options that I wanted. Since they are one of the largest (I think second largest in the nation) dealers, they usually have what other dealers want, so they can swap out for the car they need. Call them up.

according to autoweek only 15% of the coupe made in America are 6spd. So that might mean the 6spd has a longer wait.

 

6MT's are longer wait.

either
1. go to infiniti site, build and locate and check inventory of dealers, or go to a dealer and have them check. in the past, 6mt's were sold as they hit.

2. go to a dealer and have him hunt.

i ordered mine the way i wanted it. 3 month (maybe shorter) wait.

first at ray catena in edison, then with douglas infiniti via phone. douglas discounted price, catena didn't.

 

The more options you want, the easier it will be to find, altho I've heard of a backorder on the tires and wheels for the performance option.

If you order, the dealer asks for a deposit (refundable), then they put in their order the first week of the month only . Then the next month they get the production schedule from manufacturing. It usually takes two months from the order date.

Just got my loaded, AT blue coupe 2 weeks ago. Every dealer I called told me the same thing, 3-5 month wait. I live in NY and called every dealer in the area and was eventually able to find one out in Englewood.

 

I was in the market for a new car because the lease on my Celica GT-S was expiring on 7/2. The 6MT interested me, so I went on the Web and checked out local (Cincinnati) dealer inventories on 6/22, and found a 6MT DG/W that looked good.

On 6/23 I went to the dealer to check it out, but was told that they had sold it 3 weeks earlier (they don't update the Web site very often!). They had another 6MT DG/W that was due to arrive the first week of July, so I put a deposit down on it, figuring that if it showed up after 7/2, I'd end up renting a car.

Well, lo & behold, on 6/25, the dealer called me and told me the car had come in early. I actually ended up picking it up on 6/30.

The car I got didn't have the Premium package, which I would have liked, but other than that, it was what I was looking for. Considering the turnaround time and the fact that I *really* needed a car quickly, I'm not complaining.

The 6MT's definitely have a longer wait than the 5AT's. You can occassionally find a 5AT in stock, if you're flexible with the colors and options you want.

I waited 2 months for my 6MT. It was a dealer stock order that was already placed, but it was exactly the way I wanted it. My advice is to look for a dealer in your area that has a large allocation on coupes.
