Got a ticket for speeding. I deserved it, but can i get supervision?

I was running a bit late for flight school today, and i was in dupage county on North ave. and i got pulled over for 66 in a 55.

The police officer was a nice guy actually. My car came up as stolen because of problems from the dealer.

On my ticket, in notes he put "Genesis", which i would like to know what that means. Also, i don't have to go to court for the ticket. He said to mail it in, and plead guilty with supervision.

My only problem is that i got a ticket up in wisconsin 4 mos ago for 66 in a 55 ( :ugh: ) which was unfair as **** on the highway. I was the only one pulled over bc of my plate.

Will i still get the supervision? Or does that wisconsin ticket **** up my chances?

Depends on whether Wisconsin reports your ticket/points to other states. I was pulled over in NY while I had my CT registration and my insurance/state never found out about it.

I was lucky. Very lucky.

1st off speeding in dupage county isnt that bright of an idea anyway so I have to agree with the officer... "Genius" To bad the stupid cop cant spell!!!
So that makes the 2 of you even
As far as your ticket in WI dont worry about it. Tickets across state lines dont affect your licence (unless) it gets suspended then you have to worry.

Some states report to others.. I know that NY is one that doesen't report **** to other states a lot of the time.

Anyway, sorry I can't help you with your problem, but good luck with the ticket. Only thing I can help you with, is that Genesis is the type of radar gun he got you with!

Dont feel bad i have three tickets so far in my 05 G coupe. I picked it up early Feb. Got my first ticket a week later for speeding then another about a month later and finally I got a ticket about ten days ago for "running a red light" BS. Cops are just targeting me because im young and in a nice car.

I'd be careful with that statement. I can swear points get carried over from Maryland to Virginia tixs. I'd read up on your state rules.

Hell, the DMV is so screwed up in MD that I'd be surprised if they could keep track of the tickets in MD much less another atate.

I am sure "Genesis" is just some type of court offered program that he was eligible for. Why on Earth would you think he meant to write "Genius"?

Yea that's crap. I got one for 11 over and got a lawyer to fight it... and won It ended up more expensive than the actual ticket... right up until you figure in insurance surcharges for the next 3-5 years and realize that it's cheaper to go with the lawyer.

My experience with cops in Dupage hasnt been good. I would get rolled every other block when I had my IS300. The fact I had a loud *** system, 19in forged wheels & an Srt ST didnt help me but hey I learned. I didnt think the cop would write the equipment he used on the ticket. They are never that cool...

I live in Dupage county also. They drop one ticket a year for free, but if you get another ticket in 90 days they stick two tickets on you. North Ave is loaded with cops. Honestly the only way to know if the WI ticket is on your record is to find out what they have on your record in Illinois. If they find that ticket and you signed that paper there's no way you are getting that off your record. You need a Radar detector; in Dupage the cops are easy to pickup if you have one. No idea what Genesis means.. They always tell you to plead gulity it means they don't have to goto court.
