Annoying rattle/buzz (on '05s)!

Does anyone with a 2005 coupe or sedan have an annoying rattle/buzz coming from their passenger-side storage compartment door (above the glove box)? I had an '04 before and the door was obviously redesigned and does not close as tightly (the '04 never made these noises either). I took out everything to make sure it wasn't stuff I had inside of it making the rattling sound. I even found just tapping on the door when it's closed creates this annoying buzz... I thought cars were supposed to get more refined as they get into their 3rd model year (well, at least the transmission seems to be better--this one drives and shifts so much smoother than my '04 did, so I have no complaints there!)? This car barely has 2K miles on it and is already sounding like a Ford on the inside!

i don't have that problem ... but i do have a light and constant clicking noise coming from somewhere around the driver's side dash so i kinda fell your pain. do u get the noise when your glove box is open? if so, a cheap solution might be to get some felt (like the sticky velcro kind u can buy pretty much anywhere) and put a couple small pieces on the inside of the glove box. it might solve the problem. otherwise hopefully the dealership can fix it (maybe glove box just needs to be adjusted). good luck.

Actually, I heard this early on with my car as well...after fiddling around with various compartments, I realized the sound was coming from the a/c vent. I merely pushed the lever left and right just to move it and miraculously the sound went away. Try that, maybe it will work. Im assuming the sound was coming from the air vibrating the vents.

i heard rattling from the passenger side as well. discovered it was the passenger-side seatbelt clasp rattling against the passenger door. just adjusted it a little and good as new!

I had a slight rattle above my glove compartment in my 04 6mt Coupe before the dealer managed to fix it. That or I stopped noticing it.

I also have this ridiculously annoying rattling on my driver side window/door. Every time i open/close the door and drive over slightly rough roads, the damn things rattles. I've even had the dealer try to fix it the last 3 times i was in for an oil change, they still didn't get it right!!!

Congratulations! You are now a certified rattle, squeak and soft paint Infiniti owner!

Seriously, take it back to the dealer and have them remedy the problem.

OK, from looking countless hours on the forum, I've discovered a few things on the rattles:

1. The wires in the doors for things like speakers, power windows, etc. aren't tied down so they tend to move in the door. Hence, it rattles inside the door. I think a few members here discovered this while they put Dynamat on the inside door and Voila!, it's gone.
2. The damn sunglass holder rattles!
3. I found out that the cupholder inside the armrest rattles! When I put my mug in there, it stops the noise. So, I guess you can jimmy something for that.
4. Yes, the seatbelts rattles against the door frame so you can either buckle the passenger seatbelt or move it up a bit (the guide) and that should stop the noise.

I think that is about it. Hope this helps a bit.
