Top Speed Question

Does anyone know where is a good place to test the top speed of my coupe in Los Angeles area? Such as what freeway has long staight roads and not much traffic or cops. I finally have 4000 miles on my G35 coupe and been very anxious to break it in. Any suggestions?

that is the governer on the 05 6speed coupe, the 04/03 AT wasnt topped out. you can get a seperate piggy back that'll probably be able to take off the limiter? iono if we have a reflash.

There isn't enough power to effectivly go past it anyway, it would take forever to keep making more speed. You'd have to TT or something to keep it pulling at those speeds. But yes, there is an ECU flash that gets rid of it. (Technosquare)

405 or the 10 between 7 am to 9 pm. If you can reach top speed on those, then I'll be impressed.

Seriously though, at least take it outside Los Angeles county limits. Maybe the next time you head to Vegas.

wrong.... 156mph is reached @5700rpms......5700rpms is below max hp 6200 is peak...you definately get into the 160's.....

Yes, it will take along time.....the time it takes to go from 140 to 156 is more than 20 seconds.....there are few opportunities/roads that allow you to wind it out at 150+ for more than 20 secs......Usually a car will show up in your lane.....or the road will bend in such a way that you let up off the pedal seting you back another 20 seconds

I included the word effectivly in there for exactly this reason. >20 seconds (Where the hell did you get this number anyway?) is a long *** time when you are travelling that speed; you are going to cover a lot of distance. I did not say that the car could not go over 160, I said it could not do so effectivly, which is true with how slow the G pulls at those speeds currently; you will run out of room.
